Hello!
I am Marina Onachko a contemporary visual artist from Dublin.
My chosen medium is acrylic paints, which I apply to both canvas and natural stone.
Through my artistry, I endeavor to capture the serenity and tranquility of nature's most captivating landscapes and the endearing charm of our beloved animal companions.
Marina, originally hailing from Ukraine, has spent nearly two decades immersing herself in the rich tapestry of Ireland. Her journey has led her through diverse landscapes, from the windswept embrace of Galway City to the sun-kissed allure of Carlow Town. Today, Marina and her family call Dublin South, nestled at the base of Three Rock Mountain, their home. Each of these locales has intricately woven its essence into her artistic vision, imbuing her perception of the world with a multitude of vibrant hues.
Her passion for the arts was kindled in her teenage years, as she embarked on a creative odyssey, experimenting with brushes and the early iterations of Adobe Photoshop. While her early forays into digital art garnered acclaim from friends and family, Marina initially pursued a career in the realm of Computer Science. However, the siren song of art ultimately proved irresistible. She obtained a Diploma in Arts from the esteemed Carlow Institute of Technology and sought mentorship through private painting courses guided by seasoned artists. Surrounded by a community of extraordinarily talented and imaginative individuals, she found the catalyst for her artistic destiny.
In an era increasingly dominated by digital frontiers, Marina has cultivated a profound appreciation for the tactile world of physical materials. Her canvas is adorned with strokes of paint, each stroke resonating with the authenticity of her journey, while stone slates bear the imprints of her artistry, celebrating the enduring connection between artist and medium.
I will come back to you as soon as I get a chance!
